Lucy Goes to the Salon~

Today Lucy and I headed to the Salon to get her haircut.  We have been letting it grow...especially the bangs...so she needed a little "shape up".  We had "strict" orders from Daddy not to cut it too short...

Lucy's absolute FAVORITE thing is having her hair washed while she is there...

WOW...I cannot believe how grown up she looks...with her new glasses and haircut she looks like an almost 5 year old!!!

Happy Father's Day~

Toby...Thank you for the wonderful Husband and Father that you are.  You make this journey of parenthood so much fun with your wisdom, humor and easy going attitude.  Thank you for the example you set for our boys of what a Husband and Father should be, and to Lucy Joy...well, you are her Prince Charming...and mine!

Congratulations Blake!!!

Blake "Graduated" today from 8th grade...and will head to High School this fall!  He received two awards today, one for Captain of the Baseball team, and the other was the "Panther Award"...given to one boy and one girl who show school spirit, leadership, and all around exceptional qualities.

Lucy loves Abi...she clapped for her and yelled "Hi Abi" any chance she could get!

It is hard to believe another year has come and gone.  As Blake heads to High School, Powell becomes a Junior and Bennett to 7th grade!  I want to remember every moment I can, because these days go by  and our boys are growing up so fast~

Lucy's Glasses~

Today Lucy got her glasses!  We were told by our pediatrician and the school nurse that it was looking like Lucy needed to see the eye doctor....well, Lucy is very far-sighted.. it was pretty hard choosing a pair since she has quite the personality and can really pull off most colors...but these really just suit her perfectly!

I really don't know how we got so lucky...but this little girl has blessed us beyond our wildest dreams!!

Lucy's last day of Pre-School

Today was Lucy's last day of pre-school.  It is hard to believe that 7 months ago I was so torn over whether or not I should send her as she had only been home 4 months.  We started with 2 days a week, but after Spring Break moved her to 4 days because she loved it so much and wanted to go everyday!  Lucy has blossomed during this time and we are so grateful to her teachers and therapists for alll they have done for her.

Purple Hair & a Tattoo??

Lucy went to her school Carnival and had a blast!!  While I was working my shift Daddy took her around the carnival to do whatever she wanted....Lucy chose to have her hair sprayed PURPLE and get a butterfly tattoo (she even inspired one of her little friends to have her hair painted purple too!)...we are hoping this isn't a precursor to a "punk rock" faze in the future!!  The smile did not leave her face the whole night!

Blake and the Mamarazzi!

Blake was just pulling up from his last baseball game...and since I missed the game I thought it would be fun to treat him like a "celebrity" as he walked up to the house...he was a little "annoyed"...but deep down I think he loved it!

Oh he is just so HANDSOME!

Blake had a great Baseball season.  He had not played in two years since Little League and decided to try out for the Middle school Varsity team, and made it....it was almost as if he had never stepped away.  He had a terrific season and was named Captain!  We are so proud of you Blake, and can't wait to see you play in High School!!

Lucy Swings!

Lucy LOVES to swing!  I truly believe she had never sat in a swing until 10 months ago....she would swing forever (if you would push her that long:)...We have a great tree in our front yard that we have always thought was perfect for an old fashioned tree swing...so until Lucy is ready for that kind, we got her one she is more comfortable in...and she LOVES it!

Sweet Delaney lives up the street and ADORES Lucy...she always seems to appear on my doorstep right when Lucy is getting a little bored or her brothers aren't home...her timing is PERFECT!

For Mother's Day, Toby and the Boys built me (and Lucy) 2 raised garden beds.   I planted, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, herbs, leeks, onions and beans...Lucy loves checking on the garden everyday!
