Homecoming'09

Blake went to his first high school Homecoming.

He and his date, Alicia, have been friends for over 10 years...so they knew they would have a great time together~

Blake and his friends all met at Ali's house for pictures, dinner and fun until it was time to go to the dance...

...just making sure he didn't get anything on his shirt :)

Pumpkin Patch~

Sunday we took our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch...this year Powell did not come with us because he was home with the flu...

we spent lots of time looking for the perfect pumpkin...

Blake climbed in the pile of Cinderella Pumpkins to find me the perfect one!

Our FAVORITE cousin joined us too...along with Aunt Andrea and Grammy and Papa!

Two Year Ago~

Two years ago today, we saw this precious face for the very first time and knew this was our Daughter....

Today...this is the Girl who ROCKS our world...and life has NEVER been the same!

Pottery Barn Inspiration~

I had seen in the Pottery Barn catalog a cool idea of adding nuts into glass vessels, placing a candle in the middle and then taking old black and white photos and tucking them around the side. I loved the look...so here is my version~

I really love the way this looks, so I will definitely be doing more of these in my house for Thanksgiving....

Black Bookshelf~A Makeover

I recently moved my black bookshelf into my dining room. It will be a great spot to show off some of my favorite things. I decided it should be dressed with White, Sliver, and Black...so I set off to fill it up.

I am thrilled with how this turned out...it is a perfect place to display my silver pieces with a touch of Glam!

In My Kitchen{Caramel Apples...a Perfect Fall Treat!!}

The kids were out of school last Friday, so for a Yummy dessert we made caramel apples!!!

Crushed Oreo's and Mini chocolate chips...this was MY favorite!

Candy coated sunflower seeds, Gummy worms and sprinkles!!

The day was so gorgeous...sunny and breezy with that touch of Autumn in the air~

Fun at the Fair!

We seem to head to the County Fair every other year. That seems to work out just fine for everyone...by the time we go we are each looking forward to something we love about the fair. Some of us love the rides, some of us the games, but for me it's the Mama Pig and her piglets...and the good 'ole Fair Food!!

This year we went later in the day so we could be there at night when all the rides are lit up...definitely my favorite time to go!
