I really cannot wait for the magazines to hit the newstands, I could pour over these photos for hours~

Cheers to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge!
I was up a little after 1, and Lucy really wanted me to wake her...so at 2:30 she and Blake joined me. Blake bundled up with his sleeping bag on the floor, but Lucy enjoyed her spot of tea and biscuits.
We loved every moment
Kate's dress was gorgeous....she looked stunning and regal...a future Queen,
and William so handsome in his uniform.
Lucy really wanted to see the kiss, but she had fallen asleep, and I didn't have the heart to wake her...she did wonder if all her friends from school were watching too...I think not :)
It was worth every waking moment~
I woke at 1:15 am...went downstairs and started the tea kettle
My sweet Lucy wanted me to wake her so she could see the Princess marry her Prince, so at 2:30 Lucy and Blake joined me.
We had tea and biscuits...
We had tea and biscuits...
I am so happy I got up and watched this live...although I might feel differently this afternoon :)
What a beautiful wedding...Kate is so regal and gorgeous, and William looked so handsome....
Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge!!
Cheers!
A Day to remember~
I am not sure who will be up with me as I watch the wedding...Lucy says she is going to watch :), but 1am is not really doable for my little 6 year old...but there will be LOTS of coverage after, so she will get to see the Princess!
I will be watching in my English rose pajamas with a cup of tea~
Cheers!

Enjoy!
"NEW" video from Lucy!!
Are you ready?? Will you be watching??
This is so great...I am pretty sure, the real wedding will be a little more conservative :)
I better take a nap today...coverage here on the west coast begins at 1:00am...it's never too early for a cup of tea!
Cheers!

Powell's Day
Powell ended up staying home sick :( on his birthday.
I had planned to take treats up to the high school...since I knew it would be the very last time :(...oh all these lasts, make me so sad, but I know there are so many exciting firsts ahead of him!
I made Powell pasta and garlic bread (his request) for dinner, and he asked for Red Velvet cake...his favorite!
Wow 18!!!
I am actually glad he felt bad earlier in the week, because we have a BIG party planned for Saturday night!!
Here is his invitation!!

Happy 18th Birthday Powell!!
How can this be??
I remember the day you were born like it was yesterday...my first sweet baby...the eyes I looked into and knew I would lay down my life for you.
You have brought so much joy to our lives and we could not be prouder of the Man that you have become.
You have waited for this day for so long.
Dad and I are so excited for you to begin this new chapter in your life called "Adulthood"...you Powell T. are going to do amazing things and we will ALWAYS be your biggest fans!
Happy Happy Birthday to You!
We love you....Mom & Dad
(I just have to share about this picture :) No..we do not condone smoking, especially 6 year old boys :)...my Mother-in-law would buy my boys candy cigs when she visited New Mexico, and they always loved them, as I did when I was a kid....she loved this picture of Powell and it seemed so fitting for this big milestone birthday....we miss you Nana!)

Easter Day
We had such a lovely Easter
Saturday was such a beautiful day, that it made the grey drizzle of Sunday, not so bad...
although Lucy had to have her egg hunt indoors, but she didn't mind!
I forgot to take pictures of the Easter baskets...the Boys got flip flops, magazines, a movie, Little Debbie's and candy :)
Lucy got bubbles, sidewalk chalk, little garden tools, Junie B Jones book, a vintage Cherry Coke tee, and just a little candy :)
Easter Weekending~
Easter bonnet
egg dyeing
out of town family
beautiful weather
spring flowers
conservatory
museum of glass
glass blowing
photo shoots
Friday, Lucy's class had an Easter Parade through the school wearing these CUTE bonnets they made in class. Friday night, our family came over and everyone helped Lucy dye her Easter eggs!
We had gorgeous weather here on Saturday...so with family here from out-of-town we spent the day outside sightseeing. We headed to the conservatory to see see some gorgeous flowers, went to the Museum of Glass to see beautiful works of art, had a wonderful lunch out and some cupcakes too.

Happy Easter {reflection on my lenten sacrifice}
Wishing you a blessed Easter~
I also want to take a quick moment and reflect back on my lenten sacrifice...
So..my 40/40 comes to a close this week, and I did pretty well.
I admit I did not cross everything off my list, nor did I purge a bag a day...and we never made it into the garage, but that will still happen.
It felt so good to get to the spaces I did, and it motivates me to finish up the last few biggies, like Powell's room before he leaves for college :(, paperwork in our office, and of course, that garage.
I will definitely do this challenge again...it is such a great way to really evalutate what you have and what is important!

Oh Tooth Fairy...you are the best!
Lucy was SO excited for the Tooth Fairy!
She really wanted to keep her tooth to show to Grammy and Papa, so she left the Fairy a note :)
....and when she woke up,
this is what she found!
I did let her know that the TF usually leaves $1, but since she had to have this tooth pulled...it was worth a little more :)

Twig Herb Markers {Garden Craft}
via
I had seen these little twig herb markers in my latest issue of Martha Stewart.
I made a bundle, tied them with twine and gave them with a few herbs as a birthday gift recently...they were so sweet.
Here is one I made for my English Tyme
I love how "earthy" and simple
A friend recently shared this idea with me, that she saw here...
a great use for all those wine corks :)!
Guess who's coming tonight??
Yes... the Tooth Fairy
Sadly, a little sooner than we had hoped for :(
Lucy had to have one of her eye teeth pulled today...she was very brave
and watching a little Hannah Montana while your in the chair doesn't hurt either :)
I am sad to think she has to suffer the consequences of poor to no dental care for the first 3 1/2 years of her life in China...luckily we have an Uncle who is a fantastic Dentist, and loves her very much!
She made the little bejeweled and glittered "tooth box" this year in Kindergarten
and
the "tooth fairy bag" below my Mother-in-law made for the boys when they were little,
so it has seen lots of teeth and LOTS of money...we will see which one Lucy chooses tonight!
