In an attempt to "go green"...I am trying to change some of the products I use. Here are a few things that are working for me...so far.
Re-usable grocery bags. I love these from Trader Joe's, and I also have several others from different stores. I have been keeping them in my car...and take them with me grocery shopping. Since most stores now are selling their own versions, they are happy to load these bags for you...PLUS they hold so much more than the plastic bags!

My husband started buying these light bulbs because they were 99 cents @ Walgreen's...I still do not like the light they give for indoor lighting...however, I have started using them in the boys' bedrooms...they can't tell the difference, and I use them in all of our porch lights. They definitely last longer than any other light bulb.
I would love to know any other "green" products that you use and love!
I love Shaklee cleaning products. They are completely organic and work very well. The cleaner concentrate lasts FOREVER since you only use a few drops along with water to fill up a bottle. They are available online.

You did a great job on your blog. It took me forever to learn, and after MONTHS of trial and error, I FINALLY figured out the code and was able to recolor the sidebar. I have been trying (and failing) since August and now I have it. Still a lot I want to learn to do but I also have to study Flash and Photoshop right now.

Ok Dawn, it is getting scary, I have just done the same things with the grocery bags, lightbulbs, cleaner etc. I am thinking that we have alot more in common than little Chinese girls! Hee hee!
ReplyDeleteI have those same bags! My husband asked me why I bought some of those when we had (boring) cloth ones and I told him they "were cuter!" ":)

I love Trader Joe's Bag! The town I live in only has stores with plain ones but I DO carry my plain ones and love all of the stuff I can fit in them!
ReplyDeleteAlso have the light bulbs...You get used to the light after a while. As far as green products, I love Method All purpose Pink Grapefruit cleaner. It smells so good.
