Life with Lucy~

We Love Lucy
We Adore Lucy
We Treasure Lucy!
We are having so much fun with Lucy. She truly is a joy! She is happy, smart, and very funny. She has a sense of humor, and she really gets ours!
Our house has been very busy with lots of Lucy's Fan Club stopping by, and she has handled it beautifully. Yesterday was 2 weeks that she has been with us and she tells us "Wo Ai Ni" (I Love You)...of course we have been saying it from the very first day to her, so it has flooded our hearts to hear her say it back.
She is sad when her Baba leaves for work, but she knows when it is close to time for him to come home. She asks for her big brothers first thing every morning...she is going to miss them when school starts.
I think Toby and I really felt the jet lag yesterday, so hoping we are now over it! Overall, it wasn't too bad :)

After church on Sunday- Lucy did great!

Lucy LOVES baths, especially with her wa wa (baby)

Lucy LOVES cell phones!

The carseat turned out to not be a big deal :)

  30. Man, you need to teach that child to smile -- is she always so glum? ; )

Love the pictures, so glad you're home and she's happy and doing well.

Funny, we didn't experience jet lag on our return home this time -- which was nice, because last time it was a killer!

  32. Oh my, I was just flipping around the internet looking at different China adoption blogs and found yours, and I knew your looked familier then I remembered that we were in Guangzhou at the same time :> We were the momma and 10 year old daughter (Peyton) who had just adopted Ruthie (we were at the Narita airport in line together). What a small world. It is so nice to see that Miss. Lucy is doing so well and LOVES her big brothers. Hope everything continues to go wonderfully.
God is so wonderful to give you 3 great kids and one China doll and he is wonderful to give us 3 great kids and one China doll also, sometimes it is just so unbelievable.

    Good luck and God bless

  33. Oh Dawn,

I truly could not be happier for you!!! I have been thinking about you and wondering how it was all going. Kate REALLY missed our boys when they went back to school (and I kow she will again in a week;)

Lucy looks like such a joyful little girl. She really lights up with her smile.

I signed up to send y'all a book at your shower. We are in the middle of moving so I am going to wait a few weeks (we don't even have an address yet!) I'll e-mail you to see what books you have not gotten yet!

    Best,
    Kim
