  1. A little preview of Red Riding Hood for Halloween? Lucy has such gorgeous hair. Nice lazy weekend for us and it seemed like it had been awhile. I took Liliah berry hunting for the first time on Sunday and made (5) jars of blackberry freezer jam. Oh my, it taste like pie in a jar!!! Loving all of this great weather we are having. Have a great week!

    1. oh yum blackberry jam is our favorite, but we never find enough berries to make 1 jar!! I am planning Lucy's Little Red Riding Hood birthday party...I told her she should be Red for Halloween, but she said 'no way, just for my party"!!

  3. Cute photo! Is that her Halloween costume?
Hoping you can give me some travel info - thinking of visiting mid-late October but afraid it will rain the whole time? Is there a lot to do with kids indoors? Is the rain just a drizzle for a short time? Or is it better to wait until summer? Thank you for your advice! Cindy

    1. Hi Cindy..I am giving Lucy a Little Red Riding Hood birthday party next weekend, so this was a photoshoot for her invitation...I really want her to be Red for Halloween, but she has clearly stated "i am not going to be HER for halloween"...so wish me luck in changing her mind! :)

October in Seattle is lovely, we definitely have a change of seasons...it does not rain all.day. long all the time (in Jan and feb yes for sure :) I think you would have good weather for a early to mid Oct visit..there will for sure be cloudy days, but we have had some beautiful sunny days alot in Oct. The later you get into Oct it gets cold and we usually have a cold and sometimes damp Halloween! hope that helps!

    2. Hi Dawn - can't wait to see the party pics! Tonight is the last nite I can make my flight reservations. If it was just myself and husband, no hesitation. But bringing along 2 young daughters - wasn't sure if it will end up being a "bust" raining the whole time, missing school and long flights! Are there a lot of things to do inside in case it does rain? We're also going to visit Vancouver. Thank you!!
