~Summer Book~

I have been wanting to read the book Snowflower and the Secret Fan, but I decided to start with the authors prior book Peony in love. A friend of mine has two Chinese daughters and she gave me the idea of buying the books in hardcover, and starting a collection for our daughter of books that reflect Chinese culture and history. I loved that idea, and so has begun my collection.
~Another book suggestion is Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress.

  1. I want to read that one - I LOVED Snow FLower - and what a great idea - I buy ANY children's books on China that I can find, but I hadn't thought of adult!!

  2. I need to read both of these! Amy (from Nesting For Natalie) recommended them to me and I put it on my "To Do List".

  4. So sweet that you're collecting books for your daughter.

Let me know what you think of Grey's. I think you're going to LOVE it. Depending on what you pay to rent each DVD, it might be more economical to buy them on Amazon. Some places make you rent 1 disc at a time for $4, and at that point the seasons are around $20-$30. It might be worth it.
