Chinese New Year Celebration

IMG_2912IMG_2908IMG_2933My creation
We had a great time celebrating Chinese New Year with our new Chinese group.  During dinner we were treated to the Dragon Dance which was performed earlier in the day in Chinatown.  What a great way to celebrate our first with Lucy!

**I had my jacket tailored made while in China.  I would HIGHLY recommend doing this if you ever go back.  Our guide took us to a HUGE fabric mart, I met with a tailor, told her what I wanted, she told me how much fabric to buy...our guide takes me to buy the fabric (sooo many beautiful choices), we bring the fabric back to the tailor, and my jacket was delivered to our hotel in Guangzhou 24 hours later....for a total of $50 and a perfect fit!!

  1. The two of you look so beautiful together! I LOVE your dress. Did you get it in China? I'm hoping you say no because I'd love to have one like it. :) I love how Lucy's little shoes match her dress so well too. And that is one amazing dragon! Glad you had such fun!

  7. Hey Dawn,

So so cute! Lucy looks so precious in her traditional Chinese dress! Her hair is so cute fixed like that...I wonder how long it will be before Vivi Jo's hair is long enough to do that...I gave her kiddy sissors to cut paper and she decided to cut her hair, so now it will be that much longer before Vivi Jo can be sporting Lucy's cute do!

Blessings to you and your beautiful family,

    Kim
