Lucy's Lunchbox {In My Kitchen}

This is Lucy's first year taking lunch to school, and I really wanted to keep it healthy and fresh.  I love the idea of "bento style" lunches, so that is what we are going for this year.

We found this cute lunch bag (which Lucy loves because you carry it like a purse :),
and then we went to our local Daiso, which is a japanese store that carries a huge mix of containers specifically for bento boxes.

Lucy loves eating this way anyway, a little of this and a little of that :) so this is perfect for her.

We found these cute pink and white containers, and then there are little silicone muffin cups and containers (cucumbers, watermelon, and proscuitto roll are in them), and then to top it off we got the cutest little picks to use for the fruit and veggies.

Is this NOT the cutest lunch??
And another fabulous waste!

  1. i love lucy's adorable lunch "system"!
    what i love even more is this:
    your sweet girl from china
    eats her lunch from japanese bento boxes
    in america ♥

  2. We did the same! We even have the same little pink boxes that Lucy has! I chose to only use one box for the little girls. They can not open them and I wanted to be sure they would have all their food available to them. each seems to be plenty!

  3. Carla...too funny!
    Lucy ate only 1/4 of the bagel, and a few watermelon pieces and a couple grapes...soooo...I'm thinking one box is probably plenty for her too! I kind of got a little carried away :)

  4. Dawn...this is so adorable!! I LOVE the bento system too...:)

  5. Hello,
    I visited your blog today - I saw you on 'Girl Meets Paris.' Your blog is very similar to ours - exactly the same interests. I'm so glad we found you. Your photos are so pretty, colorful, and full of life!! Me and my daughters just started a new blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would enjoy very much to come back to visit with you and see all your beautiful photos. Hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.
