Mother's Day 2014

On Mother's Day this year we
had gorgeous weather.
I have wanted to go to Lakewold Gardens
for quite sometime and walk the grounds,
so that's what I got to do!

I feel so blessed every time I look
at this picture, to be surrounded by
these 4 precious people, it is
all I ever wanted...
to be a Mom and a wife!

I just pretended like this was my estate for the day.
I truly could see myself living my life here :)
even if it was 1910...I would be so happy.

My sweet little photographer
capturing her shot.

Seriously, though, how does this happen?
How did they become men so fast?
They all wrote the sweetest words in my
card that I will cherish.

See what I mean??  This house, could you not live here?

None of this would be possible without Toby
so for him I am truly grateful!

Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful Mom.
She has walked a path that no mother should have to walk
and yet she smiles and pushes on to be the
best Mom and Grammy we could ask for!
I love you Mom!

Easter 2014

We have family that comes to town every year
to celebrate Easter.  It has become our tradition
to color eggs on Easter Saturday night!
I make enough eggs for 13 or more adults and kids
to color at least 2 or more each!
We all love it!

This girl, her style, her smile, her sass

My Mom has such a gorgeous yard
we always have an egg hunt for Lucy
None of the older kids look for eggs for themselves,
they all help Lucy!

These are my people!
Happy Easter!

Loving Right Now~

I thought it would be fun to share a few things that I am loving right now!

1. Physician's Formula Bronze Booster Glow Boosting Sun Stones
These are more of a "highlighting" product than a bronzer.  I use my bronzer and blush, and then swirl my brush over the beads and dust my forhead, down my nose, cheekbones and chin for a glowy healthy sunkissed (not to glittery) look.

**another product I love with this is MAC Fix Plus spray...I use mineral foundation and then after bronzer, blush, etc I pump a few sprays on my face and it gives my makeup a dewy look that you can't get with powder foundation, and it helps to keep your makeup looking fresh for hours!**

2.  NEON Nailpolish
I love that neon is back...yes I am a product of the 80's!  I think neon polish looks great on your toes for summer!  This one is China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy and is my new favorite.  The Sinful Colors line has
done some great colors and they are available at Walgreens.

3.  Bath and Body Works Aruba Coconut
I am crazy for this yummy smell...I use the shower gel, body lotion, and body spray.  It smells like summer!

4.  STASH Mango Passionfruit Tea
This makes a delicious "not too fruity" iced tea.  I boil water, pour 8 cups into a pitcher, add 4 Mango Passionfruit and 2 regular tea bags, and steep.  Fill a pitcher half full of ice, and pour in your tea...really delicious!

Easter Sunday~

Easter Sunday was fabulous!
Here in Seattle it was the nicest Easter in 8 years!!  That meant 70 degrees, and egg hunts outside instead of indoors!!

We missed not having Powell home :( but he has a full week ahead of him, and I will get to see him this weekend when I head over to WSU for Mom's weekend...I am so excited!

Grammy and Papa have the perfect yard for an egg hunt...some of us however, thought we were in Hollywood with our sunglasses and pedicures :)

I
It was a very special and blessed Easter~
xoxo

OOPS
P.S Here is Lucy with her Easter basket :)  The boys got baskets too :)

(she got a basket full of goodies, a new four square ball, and those little drawers are to organize her "make up"!!

Hello Again & the beginning of Easter Weekend!!

So....um....I guess I was taking a little blog break :)  I hadn't intended to, it just sort of happened.
Oh well, I am happy to be back!

We had a super fun Easter weekend, with LOTS of extended family in town!

We kicked off Friday night by coloring 4 dozen Easter eggs, no matter how many you do there NEVER seems to be enough...it is one of my favorite things!

Lucy was EXTRA happy because her cousin was in town for the weekend...I LOVE that these two can pick up right where they left off!

During my "blog break" Lucy finally lost one of her top teeth!!  It had been loose forever :)

We always make Uncle Frank color eggs with us when he is in town!

ok...Easter Sunday up next :)

Easter Day

Photobucket

We had such a lovely Easter
Saturday was such a beautiful day, that it made the grey drizzle of Sunday, not so bad...
although Lucy had to have her egg hunt indoors, but she didn't mind!

I forgot to take pictures of the Easter baskets...the Boys got flip flops, magazines, a movie, Little Debbie's and candy :)

Lucy got bubbles, sidewalk chalk, little garden tools, Junie B Jones book, a vintage Cherry Coke tee, and just a little candy :)

A "sweet" basket~

Lucy's class made these cute little easter baskets today at school.  A chef from our local community college came to the school and made these with the kids.

The wafer "basket" was pre-made,  he piped chocolate frosting around the rim and the kids dipped them in colored coconut.  They each received a bag with all of the candies to fill it, and he went step by step of how to "layer" the candies, so the Peep would end up on top.

He was the sweetest man, and the kids had so much fun!
